Join the Friends of Minesing Wetlands, NVCA, the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Ducks Unlimited Canada for the first annual Minesing Wetlands BioBlitz! What is a BioBlitz? A BioBlitz is a volunteer-based biological inventory of a natural area. Participants include local scientists, professional naturalists, amateur enthusiasts and members of the general public. The goal of the BioBlitz is to identify as many species as possible in a set amount of time. Guided walks, canoe trips, workshops and other educational activities are among some of the activities being planned. Do I need to be an expert to participate? Absolutely not! This is an all-ages, all-skill-levels event. As a volunteer, you will a hands-on opportunity to learn more about the natural world while contributing to citizen science and environmental stewardship. How do I get involved? Visit Minesing Wetlands BioBlitz registration page to learn more. |
