RARE PLANTS IN ONTARIO Download as iCal file

Jenna McGuire, who currently works for Parks Canada, is an ecologist. Educator and scientific illustrator and will discuss how Ontario is filled with botanical wonders, including many rare and at risk species. During this talk we will explore what contributes to plan rarity, key species at risk, conservation issues and how naturalists like us can play a big role in helping these incredible species.

We will explore these topics through the lens of some of these rare plants and get a glimpse into their lives and habitats.

Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:30pm. Meetings are held in Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off of Horsfield Drive
