Depart 7:30 a.m. from LLPL Leader David Cowl Spring warblers, grassland birds and wildflowers always make a trip to the Carden Alvar worthwhile, but July is the start of the annual butterfly counts across the province. The Alvar is home to eighty species so come along and sharpen your identity skills. Easy walking Bring snacks and water, sunscreen and repellent especially for ticks, watch for poison ivy.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:30pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
